Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Who Knows Were Your Running
Waited out the rain most of the morning but by the afternoon it cleared upand finding an old biking jacket which was more water proof and warmer then my running jacket I headed out doors going towards Ladysmith , my destination was to do the stair side of holland creek trail and back again on the same side. doing the stairs took more work then I had thought it would and so doing a lot of walking up the stairs was a good start and I will have to work on this area to improve and to build up my quads, once past the stairs the running became easier and in no time I found myself at the bridge and the hill taken me up to the reservoir, here I had to make up my mind to go back or to keep going, No snow here and my feet were still dry , so I kept going and headed towards the Chicken Ladder the top of the trail had a bit of snow but no ice so the traction with my runners was ok , By the chicken ladder still not much snow and decided to keep running up the hill ending up walking most of the hill, ran into a bit of snow on top , but seeing i was on the flats here I headed towards Hearth Lake , focusing more on the trail and snow , then were I was going finally looking up I found myself at a dead end and not on the trail I was supposed to be on , This happened a couple of times and seeing it was getting foggy and a bit later in the afternoon , not to many people would be coming up here so going back to the main trail I got my bearing back and headed for Hearth Lake the fog wasn't to thick yet . the trail was visible and coming to hearth lake i encountered more snow But my feet were still dry so I didn't have to worry about getting them cold , nothing worse then running with cold wet feet , the trail along hearth lake was pretty good a few water puddles but nothing that you couldn't get around, going down from Hearth Lake went good the ground was well packed and the trail was bare this made it easier for my runners to dig into the dirt as I was going down hill it didn't take long to get down and to the power line and back home,This was further then I had planned on running and once by stocking creek I walked the rest of the way home, But it was a good way to get some good mileage in. Doing this run I was reminded on how important it is to leave a note were your going our how long you will be out running, even to bring something to eat and some fluids to drink. Train Hard -- Run Smart..

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
