Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Trail Running. visors and Cap brims
Out this morning Gail biking to Skutz falls and me, Jamie ,Linda and Judie running along Cowichan river , The leaves have been falling the last few days and this makes trail running more of a challenge with rocks and roots well hidden under a layer of leaves, Although I must admit it feels great to run through the leaves watching them fly around the dogs were busy chasing the squirrels and each time they start barking at the squirrels you think that they have an other bear on the run , so after awhile you dont think nothing of it when they bark,We went out for a good 5 k.m before heading back to Holt creek bridge were we had parked our cars , On the the way back you could take different trails and the one we pickedthis one had nice gradual uphill and a couple of trees across it which you could run under if you ducked a bit , Knowing the trees were there and putting it out of mind it didnt take me long to forget about them and thinking they were further along the trail It came as a surprise to me to suddenly being stopped by a bang on the head which IM sure people in Duncan could have heard , finding myself on the ground with my fellow runners around me smiling and asking , are you O.K..? This is an other trail running error wearing a big brimmed cap were I could barely see what was ahead of me , there is nothing wrong with looking at the ground because you have to watch for roots and obstacles , but the peak of the cap keeps your line of sight focused on the ground not really whats ahead, similar to the visor on a bike helmet, So how many times do I have to bang my head against a tree to learn Hope fully this is the last???? Run Smart , Have fun.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
