The last couple of days I have been doing my hill repeats and going to the gym so it was nice to go for a walk and run today up Mt tzouhalem, driving to Navalaine rd and parking my car here. your a bit up the mt, they cleared and leveled the mt here for a future golf course and subdivision, Staying on the left side of the clearing facing the mt you can run or walk on a logging road which has numerous well used mt bike trails on each side which takes you higher up the road I prefer the single track and that is the way we went up and down watching the wet rocks and roots, with the rain some of the ground had a slippery coating and hidden roots and rocks covered by leaves and other obstacle we had to deal with, we did most of our hike this morning with Jamie and Linda setting a steady pace first coming out By Genoa bay and then cowichan bay each time coming out of the fog and looking down at the enchanted view which we saw looking down on the clouds below us and some time opening up to give us a quick view of the panoramic view below and in front of us with fog and dampness falling from the branches and moss, didnt see to many bikers. but saw more people walking up the trails, It took us a couple of hours of hiking to cover the 10k.m loopt we did and it gave us a good workout , Later in the day Gail and I got on our bikes to cycle to Croften for a coffee and sat there enjoying the view fish boats going out and the Saltspring ferry coming in to drop of and load foot and car passengers . then it was time to bike back home again . It seemed that we were treatend by rain all the way home . but we managed to stay dry .

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
