Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Little bit of this and that
Did you know that hill training could be your friend. Doing hill training while doing your runs will help strengthen your legs and ankles. If you live in an area without hills, you could use a treadmill or stadium stairs to simulate uphill running. If you are starting to run its also a good idea to have at least six months of running before entering a race this is to strengthen and get the body ready for races , and for each week you have 'nt been running and then you start to run again, It would take two weeks{ for each week of not running} starting with half the distance before you get to were, you stopped running, Although some runners seem to think that they can run 5 k.m today just because they could do it 4 weeks ago, When you feel tired slow down a bit it doesnt always work to push your self, I ended up doing a bit of hill training this morning while the weather didn't look to bright it didn't take long and the jacket was slowly being lowered the drizzle had stopped and the sun was trying to peak through the clouds making for a nice running temperature. running trough Saltair and doing Gaits rd a couple of times before coming to stocking creek park to do hill repeats in the park a couple of times then joining the Saltair runners on Chemainus rd to end up at Bala's house for refreshments. Train smart, When you run at night wear something bright.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
