Sept. 18 Weekend.

Busy couple of days this weekend which I spent helping out Parking cars at at Avrill Creek in Duncan , This keeps you busy and on your feet all day so it was a good thing that the weather stayed nice today , crossed paths with Bala , Pauline and robin this morning as they were running up the Lagoon hill and I was going the opposite direction towards Gaits road and through stocking creek Park I had started a bit earlier from home and ran a short course around Saltair and back again.Seemed like a small group of Striders running this morning could be that they are tapering down for the Victoria Marathon coming up in a few weeks, Nice to see Bala still running after the Senior games which wound up this past weekend, He had been injured before the Games , Sorry to hear about Byron who had been saving himself to run in the senior games only to get hurt while leading the racing in the Senior games and pulling a leg muscle not able to finish, Sometime you wonder who is the real winner,< the person that trains and trains not going in any races in case he gets hurt before a specific race, or the person that has fun enjoys himself and goes in whatever race he wants to run. And enjoys the challenge of trail running as well as running on the road, or the person that trains right goes in races runs hart and does well by running hard, In the long run it depends on your self on how serious you are , But you must always remember stay relaxed and dont get to comfortable in your comfort zone,

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
