Weekends come and go but it seems the busier you are the faster the time goes . Met a small running group from Duncan this morning to go for a run , we started along Holland creek trail heading West and ended up taking the hilly side on the way out We had an new comer with us this morning and her pace was the group pace and we settled into a run and fast walk trip. , even this was a fast pace and it didnt take us long to get warmed up, getting to the end of holland trail we went up by the reservoir to Volvo flats and along the creek trail to the chicken ladder and the climb started here and it seemed that it just kept on going and going,making it to the top we headed right towards the logging road which was about a km further up the trail we tried running a bit here but the ground was kind of rough and the branches were kind of grabbing at us as we went past. making an other right at the end of this trail and here we were came to amore used logging road and we did an other k.m before we turned into a small trail ending at a small cabin resting a bit here we retraced our walk and continued at a slow jog till we came to the road going to stocking lake were we had the dogs take a drink of water from the creek-before going down the old water line trail. This is an-run witch is in an isolated area so we carried bear bells and refreshments for ourselves. running through nice areas and forest with lots of scenic views, going down the old water line is a fast way to get back to Lady smith seeing you go straight down till you get to the logging road and you sig. and zag a bit , we made it back just after 11-am, so we made good time considering we hadnt run all that much. but this was made up by us enjoying the sights .
