monday

Thought I would get out before the heat would make it to hot for a run, we have postphoned our trip to the mainland to Fri, so I drove to Coronation sq and from there I ran the holland creek trail stopt at the start of the trail to see if I could find a Geo cache which I  found and i am finding out it sure  helps if you read the hints and clues properly, I found a couple on this run ,also one at hearth lake called perilous precipice, which had me going down a steep incline before, Going for my run from Safeway went good there weren't to many people out yet and I had the whole trail to myself , this made it easier to pick my path going up the various hills along Holland creek trail, I did end up walking and found that it was quite mucky out even early in the morning and was thank full that I had taking water along, coming to the chicken ladder my running turned into a walk and running some sections going up, I ques you could call the running on this sections a fast walk seeing its so steep. Once at the top the running went better but on some sections to hearth lake the trail was rough and lots of course rocks you had too look out for. it seems that with the dry weather the rocks come out of the ground for fresh air. made it to the hearth lake trail without falling over anything and enjoyed the view of the lake and the peace fullness before heading down the mountain for a fast descent making sure of my footing and the way i was leaning the trail down was dry and dusty from all the people that have been using it, some time your feet would slide a bit other times I would watch for rocks sticking out so that I could step on them to brake my descent  without having my feet slip out from underneath which would have happend if I tryed to slow down on  the dirt trail. Made it back to Holland creek trail and found that there were more people using it at this time. Getting back to the parking lot I was engulfed by the heat from the buildings and parking lot . so was glad to get back home ,  RUN ---- SAFE..

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
