Mt Provost

beautiful morning and meeting Sharon and Ron at the bottom off Mt Provost we set of on our run up the mountain the trail we chose to go up was the same trail I had hiked down a few moths ago , thinking it was steep the going up this trail was an adventure in it self this trail is a downhill Mt bike trail and with the dryness that we have had the trail ended up slippery and lots of lose shale , Running behind Ron who just powered along never stopping and although some time I could keep up to him with taking steps up the mt he always pulled ahead, the trail that we toke up toke us below the monument and the cross and taking a trail called the crack which is a washed out trail and is more like a ditch with rock and shaley sides this comes out beside the jump of for the gliders and they must have lots of faith in those babies because once you jump there is a huge drop off and no turning back, It being a clear day you could see towards cobble hill, Paldie, and just about to cowichan lake , Here Sharon toke us on an unspoiled deer trail which wanders around and up and down and is just a bit higher then the old mine site, not to many people travel over on this side it takes you on the back side and you look toward mt Benson , Copper Canyon, Mt sicker this trail takes you over a scenic-sight and at one spot you have the cliff hanging right over you This trail comes back out below the parking lot for the Hang gliders , and if you dont know its there then you miss it, Once we were at this spot we decided to take the road down not wanting to take a chants on sliding down the bike trail and running into a wall , like a tree . dip gravel or any thing that you can wipe out on running down hill. getting closer to the bottom we once once again veered of to the right to enter a trail that took us down to the power line were we had parked our vehicles . a great run although it was tough going up the scenery and fews more then made up for the terrain we ran over, Train Hard --- Run Safe.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
