Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Going for my run this morning I headed up range lake road and cut across old airport road coming out by Frame Lake trail and ran along this scenic pathway on the outskirts of Y.K
dodging mosquitoes and hoards of little flies that if you dont keep your mouth shut you end up with a mouth full of protein. there are a lot of little lakes here and they all have trails around them some paved others chip and dirt trails but they all have one thing in common { bugs } so the first thing you do when you go outside is sunscreen then bug spray.
Following frame lake trail I came out by the Northern heritage centre and the legislative essembly. Here I left the trail and continued my run along hwy #4running along the hwy and here I over ran my turn of and didnt realize this till I got to the Solid waste facility, were the steady booming sound of an air gun alerted you that you went too far they do this to frighten birds and bear. Running back I headed up hwy three towards OLd airport Rd, this strech of road has a down hill and a long climb to get to old airport road
some wild life at Yellow Knife
,airport road from this way to town is a nice stretch with a down hill slope so you can keep a steady pace , this loop that every runner and walkers do is close to a ten k.m stretch and gives you a good workout, you can add many more loops depending on how far you want to run. Later in the day Gail Kristal and I went with our Gps to find some Geo caches
Gail found geo cache site
and this is an other way to discover diferent parts of Y.K

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
