Gail ready to get on board for a flight with Buffalo air

sitting in a DC.3 here you are a good fifty feet of the ground. We had planned on doing more geo caching today but ended up in the truck heading up the Mackenzie hwy doing more roller coaster riding as we try to hold on to our coffee while getting bounced around the hwy trying to heed the bump signs that are getting to be a part of the hwy system out here , but they must move them early mornings as the bumps seem to be appearing at different spots each day. Nathan and Kristal had scouted out the area towards Fort Providence doing the back country routes on their dirt bikes and had assured as that yes there were lots of bison out there, so while we drove to Edzo which is a small settlement the following morning and getting a few k.m past it we finally met up with a bison

and they sure looked huge and majestic. Here we headed back for our roller coaster ride to Y.K .Its Tuesday today and took it easy although I did manage to do my run this morning , its sunny and hot today Its amazing how fast the weather chances one moment you have a nice shower and then a moment later your taking your shirt off because its hot outside, walked around Old town today doing the tourist thing by visiting the native heritage centre its always nice to visit tha.t its something like the b.c museum in victoria .only on a smaller scale later in the day made a bird feeder and hung it up in the white birch trees in the back yard .I believe Ill miss the steady drone of west jet and the big Buffalo air with their big airplanes

with the huge wing span that take forever to get airborn but are beautiful to see as they start first thing in the morning and then later at night they go for their last flights.airplanes taking off and coming in to land and the day light seems to last forever, its close to midnight and still light, you don't see the eagles flying around yellow knife or the birds that we have back home, hardly any at all, I can see why they don't plow the roads in the winter the man hole covers stick 3 or more inches above the road, the perma frost under the roads is softening , making roads look like wash boards . tomorrow its back to the island seeing how things are at home.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
