Canada Day

Apparently it rained in Duncan this morning which gave me a day to spent at home. so getting into my running gear I headed out doors to join the Tue and thurs running group that was meeting at Balas house , we had a good group out this morning , heading out on Olson road towards-Princess, doing the trail and doing a circuit by coming out on Olson road again, running along the Saltair roads and the trails of stocking creek Park we covered close to 10 km this morning with everyone having a good run , I managed to fall in step with Dave who hadnt run for awhile which was hard to belief seeing he had a good pace going which suited me fine I haven't pushed myself too much with running so it felt good to take a bit bigger stride and make him work a bit harder this is one advantage of running in a group, you can either work hard or run at a more relaxed pace. I also find it helps to concentrate on your stride to make sure you keep the same pace lenght and to make sure you know were you place your feet when you are running. This is especially important when trail running to concentrate and watch the trail ahead of you . mt. douglas is the next Gutbuster race coming up and so far no-race course map is available, but its se-posed to be scenic. In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
