Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Spent this week doing a couple of runs with Bala and the running group that meets at his house a couple of times a week we are doing runs that last sixty six minutes or longer at the moment and we are all gearing up for the longer runs in the Island race series with the half marathon in Courtney coming up next weekend, today I ran my circuit along Old lake cowichan rd and Gibbons rd to end up walking along cowichan river from the power lines to watson road in Duncan and enjoyed the walk along the river, although the trails were a bit mucky due to the snow that had fallen the previous night although there was no snow in Saltair I ran into snow along the old Lake cowichan road and in Duncan. I was saddened tonight to hear that an fellow runner that I have run with for many years and who was well liked and known as a teacher and runner passed away last weekend doing what he liked doing. Some of the relay races Karl and I have run in were the Jasper to Banff, Once we ran into a deer just past Hope and eighteen runners and their gear ended up traveling together in 1 van from Hope to Jasper, Haney to Harison and the Seattle Gas works relay was an other relay we ran together in, he always seemed so cheerful , yes he will be missed put his memory will go on forever by his hiking and running friends

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
