Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

My Running
Receiving a phone call on Thursday changed my plans for the next couple of days and I spent Fri and Sat working at Averill Creek Winery bottling Somenos Rose and on Sat after finishing one batch of wine we started bottling the Cowichan Black. This wine is made from 100% Vancouver Island blackberries, and is naturally fermented to 16% alcohol and is one of my favorite wines and is more of a desert wine.On Sunday I spent some time around the house and spent time with out retriever and our older dog Jess. After shopping later that day we ended up in Chemainus at an old building on Oak Str near the ferry terminal and entered a curtained up Chinese restaurant there are no fancy frills or fancy tables or chairs here, but the service and the owners are super friendly and we enjoyed our Chinese meal at the Ding Ho Restaurant, On Monday we went to Duncan Gail doing her exercise and me going for a run along Old Lake Cowichan Rd and Gibbons Rd, Doing a nice relaxing pace keeping my pace between 93 and 97 strides per minute, covering just over a meter or four ft with each stride, shortening the stride a bit when I was going up the steeper slopes. Train Hard -- Run Smart.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
