Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

My Wed.
The striders were out in full force again on Sunday doing the Cedar 12km which runs through the scenic country side, and maintained their grip on 7th spot from all the running clubs participating in the Island running series
And to quote a fellow Ladysmith strider
[I am very proud to say that Pauline came first in her age group today and also set a new course record. Incredibly she knocked about 4 minutes off the previous record}. This lady runs and trains faithfully, raining or snowing you see Pauline running in Saltair matching the strides with her fellow runners years younger and keeping up to them by setting the rules and time limits on how long we should be training. Way the go Pauline. Going for a walk today Buddie , Jess and myself had to manoeuvre past a steep stretch of stocking creek going down 50 ft we are following this deer trail away from the main trail along the creek when all at once Buddie starts to slide straight down the bank, snow plowing doing a somersault and lands on four feet on a ledge just beside the creek, being ok he finds a different way to claw back up the bank just wagging his tail and proud as can be to survive that adventure after that we found our way back to the trail non the worse for his fall. Have fun -- Be Safe

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
