The Striders Run

Meeting at 7:15 this morning it was still dark and six of us met at cornation squire to travel to cedar for our morning run through the scenic cedar country side. Parking at North Oyster Elementary school We started our run up Cedar road and getting to the Chuckwagon trail Chris,Gayla and Robin followed Cedar road while John ,Dave and a new comer to our group David and my myself did the scenic and a few extra km to our running route,Right on Chuckwagon Trail. 1.06kms - Right on Homestead Way. 1.85kms - Left on Wagon Wheel Drive. 2.07kms - Right on Yellow Point Rd. 2.88kms - Left on Hill Rd. 4.92kms - Right on Rosalie Rd. 5.76kms - Left on Quennell Rd. 6.47kms - Left on Bennie Rd. 6.78kms - Right on Cedar Rd ,so as you can see we ended doing a few turns but this was made up by the quit country settings and the undulating terrain which true to form had just as many uphills then down hills on Cedar str we ran into Eliina an Sally who were also running the route8.Left on Haslam Rd. which had a nice down hill and is part off the Cedar 12km race, getting on Adshead you could see the end of the road but the road being flat the distance seemed closer then it actual was and it did have a very gradual incline and here you could lenghten your stride a bit, the end wasnt too far away, so it looked, We all ended up at the school for our ride back to Esquire for our cool down with a hot coffee. Run Smart-- Train Hard

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
