New Years Day

We met- We ran- We ate---And that was it, But even though the Ladysmith Striders have done this for the last few years there is more to it, we met at Balas house some dressed for walking others for running, gathering in Balas house we waited awhile for the opening in the clouds, when it did we all dashed outside to start our new years day run, were it had been raining a minute before it was dry, Chris ended up with a bell seeing he was going to walk . He was supposed to ring the bell when he thought the runners were to far ahead of the walkers, hearing the bell ring the runners had to turn back and join the walker so that the runners covered more distance then the walkers and that we stayed in a group. But Chris running ahead of the runners and walkers and then ringing the bell had even the walkers running to keep up with the bell ringer, seeing he was so caught up in the excitement we ended up passing the bell to Leane, then she had the power to make the runners turn around and come back again, but being tougher then she thought, she swung the bell to turn us back again but this time the clapper of the bell decided enough was enough end broke loose from the bell never to be seen again, and Leane hollering at us that the bell was broken ending up with a rock being hit against the bell to turn us around, We ended up at Balas house to dry and get into clean clothing, yes that opening in the clouds didnt last, and one minute into the run the rain game down again once we where wet we enjoyed the run and didnt notice the rain.We enjoyed Balas hospitality and brunch that followed. Run safe, Train hard.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
