Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Resolution Time--?
So are you starting the Year thinking about all the promises that you were going to keep last year and some how they disappeared into thin air and were so hard to do ?? I find it is easy to make a resolution, but it takes a lot of resolution and determination to keep one.Today Bala-Pauline- Kris- Phil and myself went for our run through Princess Diane Park and around the suburb of Saltair to end up running through Stocking creek Park and back to balas house to end our run.Running in a group does have its advantages especially for the runner that is training to be faster and goes with the faster runner by picking up his pace and having to work a bit harder than normally, the faster runner can also work on his technique, although it does put pressure on the slower runner because he doesn't want to hold the other runner back, but that is what group runs are all about camaraderie and helping each off us to become a better runner and to be out side to clear your head, while in the opposite direction you could be watching TV-playing computer games, reading and staying indoors. HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! Our new years eve started with a wonderful dinner at the Royal Dar in Ladysmith. We decided to go out of our comfort zone and try some foods that were new to us. Both suppers were excellent! The side dish filled with salad, vegetables and rice was as big as our main dish. Curried seafood with pureed coconut-seafood goa YUM! Chicken covered with pureed spinach and onions,-chicken palak another YUM and the pakoras and mango berry cheesecake. We could hardly walk to the car! We toured the lights in town and decided to skip the movie "Invictus" and head for home. Good night, when we wake it will be 2010!

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
