MyRunning Week

Sunday today and Gail and I spent some time on our bikes enjoying the warm and sunny weather that we are having although the clouds can be seen ready to give us an other dump of rain, before we started our trip I had to pump up the Bike tires and im wondering how Nathan and Kristal were able to get up the mt to Bannon creek road with air pressure of only 28 to 30 psi , you would have better traction going up the hills but you must have been sucking wind to get to the top, must be youth. Getting to croften we stopped for coffee and watched the Saltsping Ferry come and go before heading back home. Last Monday following the Cobble hill race I went and run a couple of km along gibbons rd in Duncan till I reached the power line, hear i turned towards the Cowichan river and coming by the river you come upon a trail which lead you back through some scenic and single track which lead you back to Duncan, going along this trail you have the option of taken a trail away from the river or take a trail which gives you a hilly climb and a trail which goes right along side the river. At night going for a walk on stocking creek trail I ended up on the new bridge across the creek and it being wet the decking of the bridge had gotten slippery and me wearing my gum boots stept on a slippery board and doing the gum boot shuffle ended up flat on my back wondering why I was looking up at the sky and glad that my glasses hadnt landed in the creek below. Tuesday I did Dave,s run by running to cornation Sq and back to School road following this road to the end turning right and getting on Stuart road which follows the saltair shore line At the end of Stuart rd I turned right and followed a trail which crossed a couple of streets and went on this till I reached Olson crescent from there to Olson rd and back to Chemainus hwy to school rd and did this last loop once more, this route covers both hill and level running, and is over 11km long, I did this route a couple of times this week and is a challenging course to do. Run Hard--- Run Smart.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
