Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

If you say your going some where--Go There
Going for my run today I ended up going in a completely different direction then I had planned on. I don't know about you, but I have done way too much eating this holiday...especially when I'm supposed to be in training for a run! Ugh--! I do know, though, I have a horrible sweet tooth, and I just am not willing to give up some of my short bread cookies and toppler chocolates...unless my arm is twisted! so there are a good 40 + calories for a small cookie, If you go by weight a heavier person burns more calories per km then a lighter person and depending on how fast you go ,If you go faster you end up burning more glucose or sugar, Any way you burn just about twice as much calories while running then you do walking If I run 10 Km I burn around 650 Calories, so for the amount of short bread cookies I ate I have a few more km to go to burn them all of. Well I ran to coronation sq and turned south to River rd and ended up cutting through Porters farm ( ended up running into mountain runner here) by Panorama ridge road to end up at the back of Echo heights Park to come out at the top of Cook str to head back to Saltair, this is a nice run and has some long hills to work through but is well worth it. Run Smart. A update from robin--
A quick Hola from Guatamala. I'm having fun here doing lots of different stuff. The culture is VERY different, but the people are nice and friendly. Christmas was good in El Salvadore, it was hard to wait until 11pm to eat Christmas Eve dinner though! I went to some ruins in Tikal, the jungle, Guat. and tomorrow we will be hiking on a active volcano. Picking up more Spanish as I go along. Running is hardly an option here, busy, dirty, noisy, city with uneven side walks and no real running areas. I've only done one 20 minute run with another young woman who had a hard time. A bit of exercising, but not much, I do miss it. Well should go now, hello to all. Have a good New Years Day run, wish I was there.
Adios Amigos,
Robin

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
