Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Cold weather running
Going for a run this morning with Phill, Balla , Pauline and myself I find it better to warm up inside and to make sure that I have the proper runners and socks on even wearing a half size bigger shoe in the winter to take care of the thicker socks that I wear. This stops my toes from getting jammed into the front of my runners. If a runner is more susceptible to cold and to weather related chances such as air pollution and pollen, dampness. This does not mean that a person with breathing difficulties cant enjoy running. Running and breathing exercises can be a healthy combination if done properly. even making sure that you rest and make sure to stay warm when running
Try and drink a high carbohydrate energy drinks on the run,[ I usually drink some Berry splash before my run this is an antioxidant energy drink ] it will help maintain your immune system. Eating fresh vegetables and taking vitamin C can also help prevent a cold while running in cold conditions. If it is not very cold then you may wear a layer of polypropylene shirts below a sweat shirt, that should be enough for the upper body. Or even a wind breaker instead of a sweat shirt.
Runners who want to keep running outside in the cold winter weather can do so if they dress properly. Winter running include snow, ice, and darkness. Cold air also has a drying effect, which can increase the risk of dehydration. So make sure you drink water or a sports drink before going for that run. Run Safe -- Train Hard.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
