Remembrance Day

Going for a run with Bala,Phil,Kris, Pauline started with with me trying to find were the group had gotten to so doing the start of the run in a refers order I ran into them a bit into the run, the trouble was that I left the house to late, No rain today for the run so that was a bonus for us and Phil and I ran the first half of the course at a bit faster pace then the rest of the group, thereby getting to the halfway sooner than the runners following us being first helps because Phil and I managed to get a rest before heading back through the park and to Bala's house. On my runs I try to pick on a couple of things I do wrong when I run, today at different stages of the run I concentrated on my breathing, and was making sure I was breathing in deep and trying to hold it for a second and letting the exhaling look after it self. After the run it was a quick chance and went to the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Chemainus cenotaph, and to the legion to pay dues and watch a slide show of some of the Legions Past members. Then of to Nananaimo and driving on Jinkle Pot rd, were amazed at all of the pumpkins piled all along the road way, seemed like all of nanaimo had discarded aand placed all their pumpkin's beside Jinkle pot road looked kind of neat.Run smart , Running in the dark wear something bright.

  1. Message sent to me from Mountain Runner---I too ventured out for a Remembrance Day run between rain showers. I managed 8 miles this afternoon around Burnaby Lake partly on the bark mulch trails and partly along the residential streets that border the Lougheed Hwy. It rained hard for only 10 minutes which allowed me to stay relatively dry. And I thoroughly enjoyed it. Run safe.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
