going for my run this morning proved to be a bit harder, mainly because it felt cooler but it wasn't that bad. heading towards Chemainus, I was using this first part of my run as a warm up therefore I was going a bit slower and gradual went up to my own running pace, This morning my run went a different direction than what i usually take. Coming to St Joseph school I turned up the hill and it doesn't seem to matter how many hills you run they never get any easier, I usually run through the hermit trail and there fore you don't notice the hill as much, coming out by river road the first thing you get is another hill but this one is a bit shorter and you get to the top a bit sooner. running along you pass a couple of farms and then you run into the main island hwy here I turn towards Ladysmith and find myself facing a gradual hill till I get to Panorama ridge. Running up the hill I try to keep my body in a straight line.I lean forward from the ankles up, this I find puts less stress on my hips and knees and I kind of propel myself up the hills, by having my legs trying to catch up to the rest of my body.I'm not saying hill runs are easier this way you still have to work to get to the top. After the ridge you come to a nice down hill and a long flat straight stretch past Porters farm, this part seems longer then it is and here I stopped to eat a few berries that grow beside the road, getting to Campers corner and south Watts rd didn't take long especially with the trucks whipping past you and the heavy weight that i am i just get pulled along till i get to my spot where I turn off the hwy and get back on Chemainus road to Saltair were I finish and start my runs. Run Safe, Run Smart.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
