Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

the week started not to long ago and more miles were pounded out on the road , seeing the days are longer I started running to Frank Jameson sport plex in Ladysmith in the evening when my partner goes to spin classes and palate classes . I stuck close to home this week doing the stocking creek and Saltair routes this week and on friday evening I ventured out running to Ladysmith along Bayview to first avenue, running here isnt bad and you even have a nice downhill section along 1'st ave. running along the sidewalk wasn't bad at this time of the night you didn't have to many people out shopping but you were reminded to make sure that you lifted your feet high enough above the side walk , this is an other part of Ladysmith that isn't very even. Coming to Symonds str by the 49 parallel store I faced Symonds str looking up and up. Starting to run up here I made it to 2nd ave. no problem, from here on the going got tougher and it didn't take long before my nose was getting closer to the side walk as the hill got steeper and steeper by 3rd ave I was wondering if I could walk faster then I was running this hill gives you a good workout let alone the thought of why am I going up here, it was a welcome site to get to the top of the hill , running got easier here and continuing to Dunsmuir and unto Malcome rd you could feel your stride lengthening and speeding up to turn on 6'th ave to end up at the community centre. Although the hill on Symonds gives you a going over I am looking forward to the next time to see if I can go higher up the hill before breaking into a sweat.
