This is my partner in crime that keeps me hiking and trampling through the area behind our place this is on a trail coming away from Holland Lake as the crow flies it would only be 3 k.m but keeping to the trails it is more like 10 k.m to get there. Its a steady hike up the mt the last part is going up a washed out Quad trail.
These are pictures of Holland Lake I'm sure I was standing straight must be the way I held the Camera. This dike was build a few years ago by Malespina College heavy duty operators, Walking along the dike you could here the ice moaning and making rumbling noises and every once a crack would appear in the ice. No snow here put it was cold the snow was more on the covered trails.
View from the top of Mt overlooking gulf islands |
On the way down instead of taking the quad trail I went through the bush which ended up taking longer but I didn't have to scramble over rocks and the chance of slipping on the rocks
this looks over the gulf Island and if you look really - really good you can see mt baker

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
