Meeting at Brigantine Pub in Maple bay  and parking our vehicles there it was only a short hike to Arbutus Ave , were on our right there was a trail that if you didn't know it was there you would have missed it. the trail went straight up right from the start and here being dressed for the rain which never even happened it didn't take long to warm up as we were jumping from one shale rock to the next the arbutus trees are shedding their leaves and this made the trail hike more slippery then it already was , this trail  stayed on the edge of the mtn over looking herd road and the valey below us through scenic groups of oak trees  a good view of maple bay, samsume narrows and mt Tzouhalem sticking to the edges of the mt and rock cliffs we were climbing over going past the first transmission towers on top of the mt the trail kind of disappeared as they had been clearing this area and it seemed clearing the trails also. coming to a different trail marked with green dots we followed this keeping our eyes on the lookout for green spots which had been painted on trees and rocks, not finding any more markings we retraced our trail back down the mt and had a good morning hike.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
