This morning didn't look much different then sunday morning, a few rain drops were starting to fall as I was going for my run and getting to the bottom of the lagoon I was wondering if I should turn around and head back home, deciding to keep going and just huck the tree line as i was running along Chemainus rd, the rain did stop by the time I reached Blaineys crosssing or Coronation sq and running along the railway track aways till I was came to the holland creek over pass here i went underneath the hwy to run along the bottom part of holland creek trailcomming to the top trail I stayed on the south side which is the rougher and hillier side but it hasnt got the steps like the other side, the trail wasnt to bad I had to run around a few wet spots and come to a complete stop at one point wear the water had taken over the hole trail and you had to find your way around it, getting to the top of the trail by the pump station I kept going till I got to the chicken ladder here after stopping for awhile I turned back again and did the whole trail over again.I didn't have to much trouble with the hills , yes they did slow me down and I did chance my pace going up hills by using a shorter stride, that way I,m trying to keep up with my body as it pulls me up the hills and it is a bit easier on my legs by not reaching to far forward with my stride as i,m going up hills. It was nice to get back on Chemainus rd again, and I could feel that the trail hills are tougher to do then the hills that you do running along the road, Oh I don't know after coming up the lagoon hill I was glad to finish. In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
