A mile stone

Going for a walk today proved to have more challenges for Gail as she had walked to big rock beach and maneuvered down the stairs to walk along the beach ending up on some innocent looking soft sand where her walking stick lost its end in the sucky beach sand, standing still for a moment trying to retrieve the end, her feet started to sink in the sand, although this might have been a small problem for two able feet , for some one with two prosthesis it turned into a bit of a fright, trying to pull her feet up was impossible because of the suction, the sand wouldnt allow her to free her feet from the sand, 1 foot was really stuck and when she pulled up on that one, the other becme trapped too.If she pulled to hard the bolt would let go of the prosthesis and she would have to crawl home or wait for me to come , me not knowing were she was and busy cutting firewood. falling forward on to her hands she freed her self to crawl a bit sinking with each forward movement away from the soft sand and was able to stand up and get home with most of saltair beach in her boots. This has been Gail's longest walk in a couple of years.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
