This past Week

I went for a couple of runs this week and a walk to chemainus a few times, today running in Duncan im wondering why i seem to run out of steam the last couple of k.m of a race , after all this time you would think that i would know better but it seems I always find myself close to the front of the race, the gun goes off im out of the blocks going a lot faster then I should be going, and i,m starting to realize I should be starting more in the back off the pack and start a bit slower then after the half way mark of the race I should be speeding it up so that I have a better finish then what i have had, today I ran fourteen K.M to berkeys corner old Lake cowichen rd then left on Menzies and back to duncan on cibbons rd. Ran into a bit of wind along this stretch and having taken of my jacket and a shirt before this I was debating on whether I should put them on again because even the clouds were starting to open up and start to spit some rain at me, all this didnt hurt my running seeing I had started at a casual pace I found that I could speed it up at the end, so why cant I run a race this way?? Race Smart--- Train Hard..To night we went to Patsy Cline show at the Chemainus Theatre and spent a enjoyable evening there only to rush home to watch the Olympic opening on tv .

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
