Exciting day for Canada today with more gold medals then Canada  has  had,. Fourteen  gold more then any country, all together we had twenty six medals, Then to top it of we had a good fought hockey game to beat the states in overtime.  The closing ceremonies didnt go over to great  to many  french speeches for my liking. The striders went out a bit earlier than usually this morning the ran from cornation sq in Ladysmith to the turn around in Chemainus and back again to Ladysmith to do their 20 km run, I managed to join them in Saltair to run with them and covered about twelve km this morning, the run went at a nice pace although I tried not to swing my right side to much seeing that with the wood cutting I had been doing this past week I seemed to have irritated my right side again, I guess I ,m not ready for all the vibrating  from the power saw so at least the wood is down, tomorrow Ill see how the running goes,  the weather has been great and it is getting time to start cutting the lawn again  seems like I just but it in storage. In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
