Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Week Before The Race
Island series is starting this Sunday and only a week left to train, Its time to taper of with your running. The race is 8k.m , When I train I usually like to run a bit longer then the race, going out Mon.-- wed-- Friday for a good half hour run or longer most people like to take the day before the race as a rest day, I like to rest Fridays if the race is on Sunday . then on Saturday I like to go out for a slow 5 min warm up then pick up the pace for a short distance I do this for about a half hour . I like to think that it keeps my body alert and that more is expected the following day. This morning the Saltair group went for their run and we did our regular run around Saltair and Stocking Park trail, Tomorrow i,ll run to Chemainus and try running a faster pace hope fully the weather will co operate. Run Smart-- Run Safe.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
