Still training and running

Different things I noticed when I was running on Sunday was that most of the younger runners when they were racing were landing with their feet flat and then rolling forward and pushing off with the fore foot or toes and having a slight forward lean. They weren't landing on their heels or on their toes,It also showed me that they weren't reaching to far forward with their stride although some had strides twice as long as one of mine strides.Other runner's seemed to land quit heavy on their feet sounding more like a slap on the ground and twisting their bodies with their arm movement, waisting energy and speed, but it didnt seem to matter how people ran they were comfortable and happy with their running style, Yesterday I spent some time at the Gym on the elliptical machine and tried holding unto the bars that swing beside you I found this quit hard and ended up holding unto the stationary bars which went better, and still gives you a great work out, from there I went on the treadmill and pounded out some more miles, Going to Bala - Pauline -Chris and Phill on Tuesday for a sixty six minute run going up Chemainus road to cook street and from there to Old victoria and back to Balas house to do a couple of loops around the block to make up the time of sixty six minutes we are now getting ready for a ten km race. Run Smart -- Run Hard

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
