Trail Running

Doing the relay on Saturday made me realize how unprepared I am for trail running although it was a short stage it seemed that My feet were going way to fast and I could never really get into a nice pace like you can with road running,Running like this makes me get out of breath sooner because I was concentrating on getting to the finish and never thought to tell myself to relax. And to do the things that you train for al the time, like breathing in deep every once in a while and keeping your arm motion in an even rhythm, not tensing up, having a bit higher foot movement so you don't hit roots "with your toes" , rocks or all the things you encounter with trail running. So today I went for a run to holland creek and took the south side of the trail, trying to keep an even pace , relax and concentrate on my breathing coming to the top of the trail I turned towards the water reservoir and the trail that goes beside the power line, following the trail till I came to South Watts road to turn to the hwy, and at campers corner I cut through a field to end up at stocking creek trail, and from there I went home to Saltair, running along the trail felt good after all the road running I have been doing and the scenery is also spectacular with all the fall colors around you.Run Hard --Run Smart.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
