saterdays run

I finally found a reprieve from the rain today and decided if I was going for a run I had better get my --- in gear. so out I went running along chemainus road with a light rain jacket tied around my waist you never know it might rain, I was going along pretty good that was till I got to Chemainus and the flood gates opened up once more and getting into my rain jacket didn't take long. I was still going at a good pace and concentrated on my arm movement and my breathing only my breathing was more of a casp by this time and I'm going past bald eagle camp site and it was still raining I was determined to make it to the chemainus river bridge getting there was all right so here I turned around to head back to Saltair, So far I ran close to ten k.m and heading back seemed to be a bit tougher going once I past the railway crossing on chemainus road you have a slight up hill till you get to Low cost garage This gradual hill doesn't seem to bad if your driving but running along the road it seemed like you were running up a steep hill, during this part of the run I shortened my pace a bit and try to relax a bit more I don't Know if it was the rain or the distance but I seemed to tense up a bit and had to remind myself to drop my shoulders and keep my arm swinging in a relaxed motion, getting to the Legion I was hoping that Gail would pick me up and still not seeing her by dogwood road I knew that I had to depend on myself to get me home. Yes i made it although I didn't have to much energy left to do it over again, maybe it was the rain telling me to stay home where it was warm and dry. Run smart-- Run Safe.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
