Esquire

The weather didn't look too inviting to go out side for a run this morning, biting the bullet i dressed for the weather and headed out to Esquire coffee where a group of runners were waiting to start our run. there was a good turn out this morning and about 8 runners headed up the road towards Chemainus. it didn't take long for the group to break up and we all went at our own pace,I ended up running with Dave as I wanted to see if I could do 21 km, seeing I had a surprise phone call from my friend Bozo who wanted to know if I could run 21km I told him I would find out, He wanted to enter us in the Subaru Triathlon with him doing the swimming and the biking, and me doing the running but there are only 300 entrees and with only one week to go before the race there's a chance that the spots might be filled, so on Saturday i also entered Run The Mountain which is a run around west wood lake 6km on a chip trail mostly flat with a bit of a hill at the end, proceeds for this run goes to help to increase the acreage saved from the saw from 500 to 800 acres Well Dave and I finished our run and we ended up doing 18 km. we figured that the last 3 1/2 km we could run on adrenalin alone. Its a good thing we finished seeing the runners that came in later got caught in a bit of a downpour that was passing overhead. Run Smart-- Run Safe.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
