My Run

Tuesday came and coming home from working at Averill Creek vineyard. I got into my running gear and after doing a few stretches head out the door for a leisure ly run up Chemainus road, not pushing myself but keeping those feet moving by trying to catch up to the rest of my body as I had a slight lean forward, leaning from the ankles up,therefore my body is just about straight and there is not a huge bend at my hips and less energy being used to move myself forwards, seeing the slight lean that i have kind of propels me forward by making my feet try and catch up to the rest of my body. I ran to cook street and went back home on old victoria str. this is mostly down hill once you get to the top that is. Wednesday was an other work day and in the early evening Ceevacs running club from Duncan had their wed night fun run they had quite a large turn out compared to what the Ladysmith striders have. We started out in two groups one group of walkers who walked to Princess Diana Park , and the other group of runners that went from Stuart road in Saltair through various trails and we were able to find all the hills in saltair on this course going through stocking creek park doing one side of the park first end visiting the waterfalls before doubling back end running up the hill on the other side of the park, we finally ended up on chemainus rd only to have the lagoon hill to run this didn't stop at the top because we turned on school rd slight incline again we ended up on stuart rd again. and after some went for a dip in the ocean we all got together for a potluck and had a good chat about running and how to run the country. In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
