Mt Prevost

Climbing over blown down trees was no problem for Brian
spent  the week by only going out for a couple of runs but on thurs Graham- Brian and myself decided to hike mt prevost in duncan and parking by the power  line we started our climb up following a bike trail which turned into a old logging rd ,eventually we made an right turn on a mt bike trail and had to marvel at the ramps and jumps they made up here for the down hill bikers.
Top of prevost. just below monument
Can you spot Waldo in the underbrush, Graham wondering what he is doing here.
Time out to feed the dog

Climbing up and down making sure we had the right footing with each step
After wandering along some steep trail and only having to go an other hundred or so metre to the top , some  one suggested it would be a good idea to bushwhack to the top and getting to the base of the steep cliff , which must have been over a hundred feet higher from were we are standing but it took some climbing to get there passing some beautiful rock formations

Mt Prevost

here Graham is trying too climb up a steep moss covered rock-----This was about a 10 k.m hike and took over four hrs of hiking and looking around going were there was no trails along the cliff. we had to crawl from one rock to another some times barely finding a trail hoping we would get to the top.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
