HILLS

I don't know if my running has improved any or if I'm  getting better with my running , I do know that i can still run up hills  and my pace has chanced with my hill running I'm using a shorter stride with a faster pace going up and I also have a slight bounce with my feet,  This bounce happens when I run uphill and land on the ball and front part of my foot, I lower my heal slightly and I seem to get a  spring or impulsion when i push off with the ball of my feet,<  some runners dont recomend that you do this bounc  you waste energy and you could hurt your achilles> I do this of and on and not the whole time when running uphill. I also try to run more relaxed going uphill and try not to push myself to much, knowing that when i get up hill and start running down  I can pick up my pace and cadence and the faster my legs move the faster my blood flows and then I would also get more oxygen through my system to give me energy,  If i want to slow my stride a bit I lean slightly backwards and this slows me down and to speed up again I lean forward again, this way my hill running stays to be fun and not an endurance run, Another benefit with hill running is that you get better at running on level ground , Today running in Duncan I ran  hills  some stairs and stayed running awhile not worried about the distance but being able to stay running for a certain lenght of time.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
