Hiking boots or Running shoes

 Taking a rest
Went for a hike today and ended up doing a good 24k.m  This took me past twin fir and towards silver and holyoak lake , At first I thought that I should have worn my runners put once I started climbing up the side of the mt I was happy that I had chosen my hiking boots. Climbing through salal, ferns and  rotten old logs  then stepping on rocks that were ready to roll down the mt  when you stepped on them And just when you thought there was no trail you would notice an deer trail going from one rock to another  So of you went . I think I must have chosen the steepest part to get to Hollyoak Lake  I didnt get there I  didnt like the prospect of having an other climb through  some steep terrain, knowing that I could get there but not down again before darkness , and in an very isolated area

nothing like eating a bit off dust after truck passes you

Side of mt close to Hollyoak Lake and Silver Lake

Some body must be moving in here It was all cleaned up
Old stump must have been over 25 ft round

This was a  waterfall which I had to climb to  It was steep and It took me longer to climb  climb down then it did to get here , Its about an Km below  Holyoak Lake

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
