Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Mondays Run
last week i managed to put in 50k.m doing trail and hill work outs and then to get a bit more mileage I did some road running for speed workouts This week I started by running to Holland creek trail , going up to hearth lake by the chicken ladder here my running slowed down and I walked most of the climb up to the top but keeping my hearth rate up by walking fast on the climb, once on top the running was easier and I only had to go around a couple of puddle's the rest of the trail to Hearth Lake went okay, I just had to keep my eyes open for the crushed rocks that the trail was made from, Getting to the top of Hearth Lake I followed the first trail going to the start of the lake . It was a bit windy running here the area was logged of a few years ago so the wind catches you as you run through the open area and it warmed up once I got back into the shelter off the trees and headed down the mountain again to run along Holland creek to Cornation sq and back home to Saltair , This was an harder run and mosly hill and trail running, But I find the trail running makes you run smarter seeing you have to be alert for the obstacles that you encounter on the trail and you have to constantly remind yourself of the rocks and crevices on the trail and the little roots that just peek out from the ground ready to catch your toes as you run along not picking up your feet.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
