Welcome to my blog. I started this blog to talk about the running and hiking that I do and just ramble along about the things I enjoy.. Nothing’s impossible, I have found -- For when my chin is on the ground ----- I pick myself up, dust myself off, And start all over again—

Pacing
Spent a lot of time running this week most of the runs were around 12 k.m. Running to Chemainus , or around Saltair and other times to Holland creek and Ladysmith, trying different paces some time using a long stride or a slow pace with a slow turn over, or a faster pace with a short stride and a fast turn over, the fast pace I find gives me less of a bounce,as long as my feet were landing closer to the centre of my body , there fore I had less of a braking action when my feet hit the ground also my knees and hips worked less seeing I didn't have to bent them as much as when I have a longer stride , Although once I picked up my cadence I found that I used a longer stride again. and was able to cover the ground faster then when I was using a shorter Pace The bounce would be when I use too long of a pace and not landing on the ball of my feet but more on my heel which causes a braking motion with the ground, After all this time you would think that I would have it right.

In running, it doesnt matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say,I have finished; There is a lot of satisfaction in having accomplished that goal, its a great feeling. Runnertwo
