Results of one race-- And pictures from this weekend Island iron race

Chocolate, medal and watch 

Part of the Nanaimo outrigger  team
 Close to twenty  teams from  the island and main land took part in the-- Island Iron race . which was se-posed to be 17 k.m but because of the strong winds and rough ocean was cut back to 12k.m  starting  in Cadboro bay.

It didn't take long , before some of these hats would be blown of and
and left to drift .

It looks nice and calm , But further out the waves were coming from all directions
