Missed my run

I guess I didn't make it to Ba la's on time this morning or else they are on summer time  and leave earlier in the morning , I ended up doing part of their 12 km run this morning and headed back home again  knowing i would be going out running in Nanaimo this evening,   Parking the car at brechin point  Gail went out in the outrigger, it seems they always have fun when they go out this time it was the wind and the irregular wave pattern that they had to paddle through when they went to snake island and back again, The skirts had been taking of the boats after all it is summer although tonight they wished it had been left on. I left brechin point and ran to departure bay and back up departure bay road rd by Hammond bay rd , all the while thinking I was heading  the wrong way , I was heading towards  Smugglers hill drive  to run through lenlay park coming out on Hammond bay rd I had never realized how many boardwalks there are in Len lay Park it must get wet there in the winter. But running there in the summer the ground seems to get dustier and the rocks  and roots seem to stick up more  so you keep your eyes looking ahead not really realizing how nice the park is and most of the time you run under a canopy of trees so that when you get back on the road the sun seems so much hotter, running back to departure bay hill the heat also gets me because it seems to be a chore to run up , I guess it should the hill is a good k.m long, and they say that hill running is good for you,
